A New Year and a Lot to Be Excited About
Jack’s Journal is back and 2026 is already shaping up to be a big one!
Hey y’all, Jack here!
First Jack’s Journal of 2026. Feels good to say that! This thing has been a little on and off over the past year, but it’s something I really care about. It’s always been my spot to brain dump, reflect, and slow things down for a bit when life starts moving way too fast. And life has been moving very fast!
The good news is I feel really excited about where things are heading. I’ve got better systems in place, a great group of people around me, and way more structure than I had this time last year. Training, content, travel, and everything off the court finally feels a little more organized. Less chaos. And way more intentional.
So let’s catch up!

Turning the page
Before diving into what’s next, I want to take a moment to show some love to ProXR!
They were my go to paddle for three whole years and the very first company that believed in me as a pro. They took a chance on me really early, and I’ll always be grateful for that. I’ve gotten to watch their growth up close and see how much work they put into pushing the sport forward. I am forever thankful. We’ve decided to part ways respectfully and on great terms. Nothing but appreciation there.
That also means a new chapter is coming. I’ll be announcing a new paddle sponsor very soon. Feel free to start guessing now. Winner gets bragging rights…

Building Something That Lasts
Last year has taught me a lot.
2025 was the year of trying things out. Building a team. Learning the hard way. Making mistakes. Figuring out who fits where and why that matters. Now in 2026, the goal is simple. Build a GREAT team and growing together. Sharing the pie.
I’ve worked with people across training, PT, content, editing, and YouTube, and I’ve learned how important it is to find people who actually want to be in it for the long run. I’m still learning how to hire and set boundaries the right way, but I’m way more confident than I was a year ago.
Alongside that, I’m putting a way bigger focus on taking care of my body. Mobility, flexibility, and recovery are all huge priorities this year. I’m stretching twice a day, using a yoga mat at home, jumping rope daily, and making sure I’m actually listening to my body instead of just pushing through everything (Sleep in particular).
This year is about building a foundation that can hold up.
Balance, Sleep, and Whats Ahead
One thing I learned last year is that sleep matters way more than I wanted to admit!
There were stretches in 2025 where four or five hours a night felt normal, and yeah, that definitely catches up with you. I know it sounds so simple, but when I sleep more, everything feels a whole lot better. I recover faster. I’m in a better mood, and I feel more like myself.
So one of my big goals this year is pretty simple. Be in bed by eleven. I won’t nail it every night, but it’s something I’m being way more intentional about.
Tournament wise, things are about to pick back up. I’m heading to Fort Lauderdale in early February to train with my new partners Richard Livornese and Sophia Sevving and get some good reps in. From there, I’ll head to APP Malaysia, which I’m really looking forward to. International tournaments always hit different and the crowds in Asia are really hard to beat.

That’s a Wrap
If you made it this far, you’re a real one. Seriously, thank you! I’m fired up to keep this newsletter rolling again and bring you along for everything this year has in store.
If you want to stay more up to date in between newsletters, come hang out with me on Instagram and YouTube. That’s where I’m posting training, tournaments, behind the scenes, travel chaos, and all the day to day stuff as it’s happening. Way more real time over there!
Appreciate all the support more than you know.
Onward and upward.
See y’all soon!
